This is a fully remote entry level role in BELTO Ventures. You will work with a distributed team on consequential client and internal priorities.
The work combines market research, thoughtful outreach, discovery, proposal development and long-term account stewardship. We value direct communication, careful qualification and commercial ambition without pressure tactics.
Success means improving the quality and speed of decisions, leaving durable operating assets, and communicating trade-offs before they become surprises. The selection process includes a structured conversation and a practical, role-relevant exercise. We do not use protected personal characteristics in hiring decisions.
Responsibilities
- Research markets, competitors and funding activity in target sectors.
- Build and maintain target lists with a stated rationale per entry.
- Write short decision-useful briefs, not summaries of public pages.
- Maintain data quality in the CRM and research tooling.
- Track outcomes so the research method improves.
Requirements
- Strong research, synthesis and written English.
- Comfort with spreadsheets and public financial data sources.
- Scepticism about sources and claims.
- Reliability with recurring reporting.
- Currently enrolled at, or holding a degree from, Stanford University or Harvard University.
